Fixed Term Contract for 1 year
Hours: 10 per week over 3 days
Salary: SCP16 to 18 (£13.26 to £13.47)

Applications are invited from suitably experienced persons for the post of Town Warden. The hours of work are 10 hours per week worked over 3 days (including weekends and bank holidays). Two 3 hour days and one 4 hour day, including one weekend day every other week. Some flexibility will be required.

Acting as the Town Warden, the successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the Town Council to maintain, enforce and develop environmental action and activity in respect of cleanliness, safety and enforcement. The warden will support in maintaining Parish defibrillators, community assets and ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the Parish environment. Working in partnership with District Council environmental and enforcement teams to improve the overall cleanliness of the Parish. Various other duties will be expected as part of this post which are covered in the job description that will be made available to all applicants (see below).

Previous experience in a similar role would be desirable but is not essential. The successful candidate will be required to attend relevant training courses and will ideally have a full, clean driving licence though not essential. Terms and conditions of employment are based on the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) and Society of Local Council Clerks (SLCC) Contract of employment.
